Taiwan Tidbit
The garbage trucks, which collect every day, actally play music like ice cream trucks. This really confused me at first, as when i first heard the cheery little chimes i ran to the truck with my hand out and was confused after the man handed me a banana peel and used rice bowl. But now i know better!

Hey, I'm loving reading all your posts. It's like being with you - but honey, you need to focus on something other than food. I started getting sympathy queasy, which just won't do at the office.
you will have to stick with me on the food! although by now it's all starting to look the same. we actually have a tradition at each meal where we take a photo of each dish, so there will be lots to share when i get back!
so do i get special prize for not eating any shark fin? it's everywhere! i took photos of it but didn't partake. there was even a restaurant called "shark fin restaurant." the asians travelling with us weren't even aware it was illegal in the US.
